Livejournal Flashbacks
Not to belabor the obvious, but the Tumblr interface and the Dreamwidth interface are entirely different creatures. Naturally, Dreamwidth functionality is reminding me of LiveJournal.
I haven't given it much thought in years, but for a time it was a very important part of my online experience, and I did meet some people there who were important to me, both in terms of my writing and my personal life.
"We had a falling out, like lovers often will," to quote Bob Dylan, and I lost touch with a lot of them. But hope most of them are well.
(Caveats are inevitable, right?)

But mostly on tumblr I missed the conversations, the back and forth chats you could have with people on their blogs and in communities without feeling like you were spamming everyone with your constant reblogs to add one more comment. I'm loving meeting more people here and on pillowfort where you feel like you can actually meet them.
